This white buffalo turquoise cuff is made by Navajo artist Elaine Sam and signed on the back. The cuff is best suited for a 6.5 - 7.5 inch wrist but can be squeezed or opened further if needed. This white buffalo stone is unique compared to others I have seen in that it has a beige almost latte colored hue to it with some white spots. The stone and setting measures 1.25" long by .75" wide.
White Buffalo comes from the Dry Creek mine located on the Shoshone Reservation in Nevada. It is called White Buffalo because it is a rare stone (like a white buffalo is rare) because it forms like turquoise but without the presence of heavy metals which give other turquoise their green or blue colors. So this stone is truly unique and beautiful!
